Got seven minutes?

Got seven minutes to spare, give or take a few seconds?  Want to go to seminary and learn about Paul’s letter to the Romans?

In March of this year, Asbury Seminary in Kentucky (yikes–I’m endorsing another seminary!) launched a new initiative called “Seven Minute Seminary”: a growing playlist of YouTube videos, all under 8 minutes long, that deal with specific biblical or theological topics.

Here is New Testament scholar Craig Keener’s summary of the book of Romans.  No, of course you can’t learn everything about the book in seven minutes.  But it’s pretty amazing how much he squeezes out of the time.  The video makes for a nice overview that would help new readers get more out of the text.

Thanks to Brian LePort at NearEmmaus.com for introducing me to this resource.

Enjoy!
