He is our peace

    1. It’s a good question. In part, that’s one of the terms some scholars use to refer to Christ in passages like these. “Cosmic” stems from “cosmos,” which is used to suggest something as broad as the universe itself. The point is that what Paul describes of the work of Christ extends far beyond the salvation of individual humans.

  1. Dearest Cameron, Thank you for this explanation of “cosmic” for me. Some time ago I became broken 💔 😢 hearted by being bombarded by so many around me using the name of Our LORD as one would use a curse word. It was so automatic that there was no space for the b realization that there is a Jesus of and whom they are calling on. Many use HIS name as some sort to substitute for the more graphic curse words of our day. In order to keep myself from falling into a trap of limiting Jesus to His humanity, I refer to Him as The CHRIST both in thought, speech and my writings. This helpes keep me grounded as to what and who HE is. Hebrews 1:1-4 Thank you for your explanation of cosmos as relating to Jesus the CHRIST as the ONE over all of the universe that He created. May you continue to be a blessing to all the LORD brings to you.
